Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been involved in a car accident near his home in Mississippi.
Freeman, who is currently starring in Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight" was hospitalized after the 1997 Nissan Maxima he was driving went off the edge of Mississippi Highway and flipped several times before coming to a rest.
The car reportedly belonged to Freeman's passenger, Demaris Meyer, who is a friend of the actor's wife.
It’s not known as of this moment how may pictures of the wreck will become available and be published online.
The actor broke his shoulder and arm, but according to his representative, is expected to make a "good" recovery.
