Dwayne Wade the high point man with 27 points, Kobe Bryant had 20, Chris paul and Carmelo Anthony with 13 points each for the American team.

Rudy Fernandez scored 22 points while Pau Gasol had 21 for Spain.

USA redeem team remained unbeaten (4-0) in the Beijing Olympic games beating the 2006 world champion Spain (3-1), 119-82.


LeBron James scored 18 points for the United States, who hit seven of its first 10 attempts from 3points line. Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony each finished with 16 points.

Felipe Reyes scored 19 points while Pau Gasol scored 13 points for Spain.

The Americans will face in the quarterfinals either Australia or Croatia, the No. 4 team from Group A.
